Add Fuel Checker to Claude, ChatGPT or your favourite AI assistant — then ask things like “Where’s the cheapest petrol near me?” and get a straight answer with live UK prices.
No tech skills needed. If you can install an app, you can do this.
Any MCP-capable client can call the tools. In Claude, results render as a fully interactive in-chat app.
Interactive MCP appAsk a question and Claude renders a live Fuel Checker panel in the conversation — switch fuel grade, compare forecourts and read the saving without leaving the chat. Try the grade toggle on the right.
Typed tools that return structured JSON your assistant can reason over. The essentials are free; Plus and Business unlock the full set.
MCP is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT securely connect to live data sources. Instead of the assistant guessing at fuel prices from months-old training data, it calls the Fuel Checker server and gets today's actual pump prices for more than 8,400 UK forecourts - the same data behind our live map, refreshed daily from the Government's open-data scheme.
That turns everyday questions into grounded answers: “where's the cheapest diesel near M1?”, “plan me a route from Leeds to Manchester with the best fill-up stop”, or “what will this 600-mile week cost in fuel at 45 mpg?”. The assistant picks the right tool, we return live structured data, and it answers with real numbers - prices, distances, and the pounds saved versus the UK average.
The essential tools are free - no account or token needed. Route planning and price-trend tools come with Plus and Business plans, using a personal access token you paste in once during setup. Tokens can be revoked at any time from your account, and the server only ever sees the questions your assistant asks it - never your conversation.
Drop the endpoint into Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client and start asking about fuel.
